The cafe is slowly coming along. We have a menu and are trying to make way with the pastries (thats my job). The business is slowly increasing, it is exciting to see new faces and always a treat to see the people that i know. Tomorrow is our first regular crepe night and we haven't really tried to push it just word of mouth really we are really hoping we can catch some of the people from the bars or late night shoppers. Who wouldn't want coffee at 10 o'clock. We will have to just try to make more signs or more flyers but it truly is a learning experience every time we do something once we see the simplicity of the next time. We had the original artist of a painting dis[layed outside come in to see us today. She is going to replace the previous owners name and picture with ours. She is really excited about the cafe, it is so refreshing to have another person see the dream and want to lift it up. She is a local artist in Dallas and she is going to help us get local art on display in the store. It is still a work in progress but i will post a picture. My mom was in yesterday, she lives in houston is it was her first time to see what we had created. She was so proud and hungry too. haha we packed her car full of cakes to trek back to houston. We might develop a market, i wish. well things are moving slow but it gives us a chance to get things in order. It is so funny how it becomes an event when someone orders a snadwich or something off the menu, Both of us have done large volume baking and cooking. it just cracks me up i had lost hope that feeling could return after the mass producing i had been doing before, all of us Nick was doing 300 to 500 heads a night at the restaurant he worked at. Jeff works in New York, Period. that is all you have to say about that. I gotta get back to work
