The first renovations

Today is the first posting i thought it would be neat to have a running record of our creation. We have all been in the restaurant industry in one way or another. This idea juat came together at the right time. Today begins the tranformation stage. We have alot of ideas working between the three of us. We hope to really change the way this cafe was seen in the past. In two days we have repainted the whole restuarant and brought in some new and interesting dishes and desserts. We found this place by chance and really saw a vision of a local spot where people could sit and chill with good coffee and good food. It has been an exciting venture so far. We have alot of plans for this place and we really hope we can tap into the local scene. Today we met some of the locals who for one reason or another had not been to the cafe in quite some time. The news is spreading fast that there are new owners and people are drawn to the change. They were all very interesting people who were as excited about the place as we are. It was really awesome to know that these people can feel the vibe and are encouraging us with their own ideas. the last few days have been long but very fun. We reopened the cafe last night for a group seeking a late night place to have crepes and coffee. We had more fun then them i think. It was so inspiring that we have decided to do it again every fridayand saturday night. I was able to bake again, I did a sweet cream cheese blueberry souffle and some orange cream muffins. Nick is running a brisket special that we were doubtful of at first, but when it came out no one could stop snacking on it. We are closing early today so we can all begin the celebrations and we can't decide whether to open tomorrow for a hang over brunch
